Site Surveillance

The Actelis ML600 Ethernet Access Devices (EADs) are perfect for connecting devices around a site over a campus-wide Ethernet network that utilizes dedicated privately owned copper pairs. Site surveillance is one of the important applications of such networks, stimulated by emerging technologies that allow intelligent inspection of video footage for real-time detection of crime or unusual activity that can trigger an alarm. Taking advantage of the rapid and easy deployment supported by Actelis, site-wide surveillance networks can be set up quickly and at low cost. Once installed, such a network can readily be used to connect other remote IP devices, such as environmental sensors. The typical deployment would comprise a point-to-multipoint ML system at a central control and monitoring station, fanning out to various point-to-point ML EADs around the site serving cameras or clusters of IP devices.
