Site Interconnection Over IP - Voice, Data, Video & LAN Services

Many government departments own or have access to private copper infrastructure ideally suited for secure high-bandwidth communications capable of transporting all voice, data, and video services. In many cases there is a requirement to interconnect two sites in this way over one or more existing copper pairs, and this can be achieved efficiently and cost effectively with Actelis Networks’ Carrier Ethernet over Copper point-to-point systems.

Many public sector departments have already deployed these systems to extend IP telephony to new sites, deploy video conferencing or surveillance, or extend LAN access to all their staff. This can be accomplished by deploying routers at each site and then connecting these via ML systems to one or more copper pairs, depending on the bit rate required. Up to 100 Mbps can readily be provided via 16 copper pairs. Apart from being more cost effective than alternatives such as fiber or T1/E1 over copper, Actelis’ Carrier Ethernet over Copper access solutions enable much faster deployment, so that government offices can set up inter-site links within a few hours.
