Enterprise Site Interconnection Over IP

Enterprises looking to connect two local sites within a campus or exchange area into a transparent IP/Ethernet network can do this most cost effectively over existing local copper loops using the Actelis ML600 point-to-point Ethernet Access Devices (EADs). This enables next generation applications, such as video conferencing and IP telephony, to be extended across both sites and be managed as a single network infrastructure. Each site connects its local IP/Ethernet networks to the ML systems via a router, allowing up to 100 Mbps to be provided between the two. There is the potential to obtain even higher inter-site bandwidths up to 180 Mbps by utilizing the top end Actelis ML1300, which can connect up to 32 copper pairs.

Apart from being more cost effective than alternatives such as fiber or T1/E1 over copper, the Actelis ML point-to-point platforms enable much faster deployment so that enterprises can set up inter-site links within a few hours.
