WiFi Access Node

WiFi and WiMAX services have become more and more widespread, and high speed wireless connectivity from anywhere is now an essential part of today's modern world-wide communication network. And while high-speed Ethernet provides adequate bandwidth, in most cases it is simply too expensive to deploy fiber to every WiFi access point and existing copper wires can be used to provide up to 100 Mbps backhauling over eight copper pairs.

Advantages
    • Carrier Ethernet access allows seamless integration with Ethernet-based WiFi technology
      • Multiple Ethernet ports for connecting multiple WiFi Access stations
    • Option of using point-to-multipoint configuration to reduce CO costs.

By utilizing one of the point-to-point systems, such as an ML600 Ethernet Access Device (EAD), WiFi backhaul is easy and cost-effective to deploy. After powering up, Actelis ML600 EADs configure themselves within minutes for quick delivery of fiber-quality WiFi backhaul. The cost, delay and operational headache of deploying fiber trenching is avoided.
