Aggregation Switches: ML2300

The Actelis ML2300 is the next generation of our high-capacity Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) aggregation switches, enabling the delivery of symmetrical advanced Ethernet services to fiber deprived locations. Designed with standards-based EFM 802.3ah 2baseTL technology and enhanced by Actelis' patented EFMplus™ technology, the ML2300 achieves superior performance offering unprecedented rate, reach and reliability on any grade of copper pairs.

The ML2300 can be connected to up to 128 remote customers utilizing any one of Actelis’ ML600 Ethernet Access Devices (EADs). Each customer can be provide with high-quality symmetrical Ethernet services of up to 100Mbps over a link comprising of 1 to 32 bonded copper pairs. The Ethernet services are groomed by the ML2300 platform and can be handed off to the network through various redundant network interfaces, including 100/1000Mbps, optical GigE and DS3 interfaces, enabling easier integration into various SP networks.

The ML2300 offers advanced management and trouble shooting capabilities, including TDR, EFM OAM and CFM OAM as well as configuration wizards simplifying Ethernet service deployment and reducing OA&M operation OPEX. The ML2300 is complaint with EFM and IEEE standards and interoperable with any standard Ethernet switch or router and aligned with Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) recommendations,

The ML2300's high-capacity design makes it ideal for central office applications. A low start-up cost enables a low risk investment for the first Ethernet customers, while the platforms growth and cascading capabilities allow it to serve an abundance of customers as service demand grows. It delivers high-quality Ethernet services to multiple sites and supports a wide array of applications including transparent LAN services, LAN interconnection, voice and video over IP.

The ML2300 is fully compatible with Actelis’ XR239 EFM Repeater, overcoming the distance challenges while enabling higher rate and reach per copper pair. The combined solution can be used for full coverage of the CSA while offering remote locations and customers higher bandwidth services.
