The Actelis Networks® ML2300 platform is the next generation of our high-capacity Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) aggregation systems, enabling delivery of symmetrical advanced Ethernet services to fiber deprived locations. In adherence to Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) recommendations and interoperable with any standard Ethernet switch or router, the ML2300 platform is fully compliant with IEEE’s EFM 802.3ah 2baseTL technology. The ML2300 is enhanced by Actelis' patented and standards compliant EFMplus™ technology, thus achieving superior performance and offering unprecedented Rate, Reach and Reliability, or what we refer to as “The 3 R’s of EFM™”, on any grade of copper pairs.

The ML2300 platform offers service providers advanced carrier-class protection. It employs industry standard and state-of-the-art redundancy schemes, enabling superior resiliency to multiple failures scenarios, as well as enhanced SLA assurance with reduced OPEX. The ML2300 also offers advanced management and trouble-shooting capabilities, including TDR, Enhanced OAM, and configuration wizards that simplify Ethernet service deployment and, subsequently, reduce OA&M expenditures.

The ML2300's high-capacity design makes it ideal for central office applications. A low start-up cost ensures low-risk investment for the first Ethernet customers, while the platform’s growth and stacking capabilities allow it to serve an abundance of customers as service demands grow. The ML2300 delivers high-quality Ethernet services to multiple sites and supports a wide array of applications, including transparent LAN services, LAN interconnection, and voice/video over IP.

The ML2300 can be connected up to 128 remote customers utilizing any one of Actelis’ intelligent Ethernet Access Devices (EADs). Each customer can be provided with high-quality symmetrical Ethernet services up to 100 Mbps over a link comprised of 1 to 32 bonded copper pairs. With its carrier-class dual-star backplane, the Actelis ML2300 platform encompasses multiple redundancy schemes, including network protection, modem card redundancy, and customer link redundancy through cross-platform bonding. The SDU-400 series enhances these capabilities by adding SDU card redundancy, offering equipment and facility protection. The Ethernet services are groomed by the ML2300 platform and can be handed off to the network through multiple network interfaces, including 100/1000Mbps, optical GigE and DS3 interfaces, which enables easier integration into just about any carrier network.

The ML2300 is also fully compatible with Actelis’ XR239 EFM Repeater, overcoming all distance challenges while enabling higher rate and reach per copper pair. The combined solution can be used for full coverage of the customer serving area while offering remote locations and customers higher bandwidth services.
