Aggregation Switches: ML1300
The Actelis ML1300 is a compact, cost-effective Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) aggregation switch, enabling the delivery of symmetrical advanced Ethernet services to fiber deprived locations. Designed with standards-based EFM 802.3ah 2baseTL technology and enhanced by Actelis' patented EFMplus™ technology, the ML1300 achieves superior performance with unprecedented rate, reach and reliability on any grade of copper pairs.
The ML1300 can be connected to up to 32 remote customers utilizing any one of Actelis’ ML600 Ethernet Access Devices (EADs). Each customer can be provide with high quality symmetrical Ethernet services of up to 100 Mbps over a link comprising of 1 to 32 bonded copper pairs. The Ethernet services are groomed by the ML1300 platform and can be handed off to the network through various redundant network interfaces, including 100/1000Mbps, optical GigE and DS3 interfaces, enabling easier integration into various SP networks.
The ML1300 offers advanced management and trouble shooting capabilities, including TDR, EFM OAM and CFM OAM as well as configuration wizards simplifying Ethernet service deployment and reducing OA&M operation OPEX. The ML1300 is complaint with EFM and IEEE standards and interoperable with any standard Ethernet switch or router and aligned with Metro Ethernet Forum (MEF) recommendations,
The ML1300’s compact design is ideal for delivering Ethernet services to small serving areas, remote terminals and campus locations. The bandwidth capabilities and high reliability of the ML1300 make it ideal to support a wide range of broadband applications. A low start-up cost enables a low risk investment for the first Ethernet customers, while the platforms growth capabilities allow it to serve an abundance of customers once the service demand grows. It delivers high-quality Ethernet services to multiple sites and supports a wide array of applications including transparent LAN services, LAN interconnection, voice and video over IP.
The ML1300 is well suited to backhaul bandwidth from DSLAMs/NGDLCs, WiFi and cellular base stations, enabling delivery of advanced revenue generating new services while offering up to 95Mbps over copper.
The ML1300 is fully compatible with Actelis XR239 EFM Repeater overcoming the distance challenges while enabling higher rate and reach per copper pair. The combined solution can be used for full coverage of the CSA while offering remote locations and customers higher bandwidth services.
