Actelis Networks Receives 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Leadership in the Global Ethernet in the First Mile over Copper Segment

“Actelis has distinguished itself as the clear leader in this fast emerging market.”

FREMONT, Calif., June 4, 2007 - Actelis Networks®, the leading global supplier of Carrier Ethernet over Copper™ solutions, reinforced its #1 global brand position today by announcing at Broadband World Forum Asia that the company has received the 2007 Frost & Sullivan Award for Market Leadership in the Global Ethernet in the First Mile over Copper Segment. According to the research methodology conducted by global growth consulting company Frost & Sullivan, Actelis’ global leadership was based on its market share, revenue growth and technological innovation. Actelis was selected over several other Ethernet over copper access companies.

“Ethernet in the first mile over copper technology quickly and economically delivers advanced broadband services with fiber-like performance to almost any customer because it utilizes the existing copper infrastructure,” said Prayerna Raina, research analyst with Frost & Sullivan’s carrier infrastructure practice and one of the primary analysts who authored the research. “As a result, service provider deployments of Ethernet over copper access services have rapidly moved from the innovation to the early adopter phase."

“Actelis Networks has distinguished itself as the clear leader in this fast emerging market,” continued Raina, “because of the capabilities of its carrier Ethernet over copper platform as exemplified by its most recent product, the ML 640. The company’s global customer base, which includes Tier 1 carriers like Qwest Communications and PCCW (formerly Hong Kong Telecom), confirms that the vendor has successfully addressed the needs of the market, and has built an impressive customer base that is balanced across the geographies.”

“Actelis has a rich history of bringing award-winning technologies to market as evidenced by the vast number of awards we have received over the years. What truly validates our success, however, is our continued ability to deliver the right mix of carrier Ethernet over copper solutions to our expanding and globally diverse customer base,” said Tuvia Barlev, president and CEO of Actelis Networks. “We are pleased to accept this prestigious award from Frost & Sullivan because it reinforces our commitment to be the leading global supplier of carrier Ethernet over copper solutions.”

Complementing the number of awards won by the Silicon Valley-based telecom equipment manufacturer, Actelis has amassed over 5,000 projects, across five continents, in over 30 countries around the world, according to Mehmet Balos, president of worldwide marketing, sales and services at Actelis.

“We have significant deployments across North America, Europe, South and Latin America and Asia, which include service providers ranging form the largest ILECs and PTTs to regional alternative carriers and local independent operators,” commented Balos. “Our commercial success continues to accelerate globally, and this award validates our continued mission of delivering world-class Ethernet solutions, backed by world-class customer support, to our valued customers.” For more information on Frost & Sullivan’s Best Practices Awards, visit www.awards.frost.com.
