Allied Telecom Expands Service Offerings to Deliver Business-Class Ethernet
Prior to selecting Actelis' platform to deliver Ethernet services, Allied Telecom tested multiple Ethernet-over-Copper solutions. The testing proved that Actelis' platforms provided superior rate, reach and reliability compared to other copper-based Ethernet solutions. They also proved to be sufficiently robust enough to meet its real-world deployment needs for carrier-class Ethernet services. Allied offered broadband telecommunications solutions including XDSL, T1/T3/OC-3 and Metro Ethernet services. Actelis' platforms allow Allied to utilize a "build-to-order" service model that eliminates the need to invest in equipment before revenue is generated. Once a customer is secured, Actelis' platforms can be deployed within a few days, allowing Allied to immediately begin generating revenue.

BITel Delivers Ethernet Services to Businesses Using Actelis’ ML Ethernet-Over-Copper Platforms
In a recent deployment, BITel chose the ML EAD to accelerate the link between a branch office and its headquarters. By using the new Ethernet service from BITel, the customer has reduced its monthly recurring telecommunications service costs, reduced network management time, and now has high-quality bandwidth to run applications such as high-speed internet access, voice and video over IP, among others. The ML platform has enabled BITel to provide a service package that can be customized to the customer including guaranteed, high-quality bandwidth and provides the scalability necessary to increase the bandwidth to the customer in the future.

Horry Telephone Delivers Metro Ethernet Services Using
Actelis Networks’ Carrier Ethernet over Copper Solutions
Horry Telephone Cooperative (HTC), the nation’s largest telephone cooperative, is using Actelis’ Ethernet equipment as the basis for its Metro Ethernet services, which provide advanced broadband data services over existing copper infrastructure. Actelis’ award-winning carrier Ethernet over copper access solutions allow the South Carolina-based IOC to cost-effectively and efficiently provide high-speed broadband services to many of its residential and business customers, including Horry County libraries, located in rural communities across the county.

Like many innovative IOCs looking to deploy advanced data services today, Horry Telephone has been challenged to deliver broadband services to many of its customers residing in rural areas. Actelis Networks is providing HTC with its ML600 Ethernet Access devices and ML130 Ethernet Aggregation switches to construct an Ethernet access network on its existing voice-grade copper plant. HTC’s network is typical of the challenge facing many IOCs that must reach subscribers who may be located beyond 18-thousand feet from the nearest central office. To address the challenge of remote deployment to its subscribers, HTC is in the process of deploying Actelis’ XR239 Ethernet in the First Mile (EFM) Repeater to dramatically extend the reach of its Ethernet over copper service offering. The environmentally hardened repeater is the industry’s only standards-based repeater for 2Base-TL EFM systems.

Internet Express Delivers Ethernet Services to Businesses Throughout the Midwest
Prior to selecting Actelis’ ML series of EADs, Internet Express was delivering broadband services such as DSL, T1, T3 and DS3 throughout the Midwest. While these services were suitable for some customers, many others were requesting scalable Ethernet broadband services. With Actelis’ ML EADs, Internet Express now delivers economical, high-quality, Ethernet services utilizing the existing copper infrastructure. The Actelis solution allows them to effectively compete in the region without building an expensive fiber network to deliver high-bandwidth services, which would be passed along to their customers thus increasing the cost.

Telephony Magazine Recognizes Actelis Networks’ Customer LightEdge Solutions with 2007 Award for Innovation in Technology Deployment
Telephony magazine awarded LightEdge Solutions®, Inc. the 2007 Telephony Innovation Award for Innovative Technology Deployment. A longtime, valued customer of Actelis Networks, LightEdge Solutions offers managed voice, data and IT services over an MPLS network. To extend the reach of these services, the company deployed Actelis Networks’ EFMplus™ technology so that it could offer bandwidth above standard T-1 lines without having to extend fiber all the way to the business. This competitive service provider is making these managed services available to small to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) in the Midwest and Southwest.

Qwest Deploys Actelis Equipment to Deliver Metro Ethernet Service (QMOE)
Tasked with extending higher-capacity, higher-speed Ethernet Services beyond the reach of their fiber-optic networks, Qwest selected Actelis Carrier Ethernet over Copper™ solutions. Deployed in a variety of applications, including business-to-business connectivity and high-speed Internet access for educational institutions, Qwest significantly expanded the reach of its Ethernet services using existing copper facilities. Deploying Actelis’ carrier Ethernet products, Qwest responded rapidly to a customer request to deliver a fiber-quality, high-capacity service over the existing copper plant.

Tele2 Introduces Business-Grade Carrier Ethernet Broadband Services in Nordic Region with Actelis Networks’ Ethernet Access Solution
Actelis supplies Tele2, Europe’s leading alternative telecom operator, with its ML600 Ethernet Access Devices (EADs) series and ML2300 central office aggregation switching units in order to deliver new business-grade broadband services over its existing copper network to a growing base of business customers. This solution enables Tele2 to deliver advanced data, high-speed DSL and Voice-over-IP (VoIP) services to business customers throughout its Nordic markets and other parts of Europe. With Actelis’ Carrier Ethernet over Copper solution, Tele2 can cost-effectively leverage its existing copper infrastructure, significantly extending the reach of their Ethernet broadband service offering.
